As reported by Allkpop, Jammi experienced serious depression due to rumors and malicious comments that she continued to receive. The uncle then requested to end all those comments.

"I hope you do not insult the deceased. This is difficult for the grieving family and friends. She left a message and through the article, I know how heavy Jammi's burden was and how she was harassed. Please do not start strange rumors again," wrote the uncle.

Jammi was previously involved in controversy among male netizens due to hand gestures she made. This made her called a feminist and sparked protests from many Korean men.

Previously, Jammi said that her mother decided to commit suicide because she couldn't bear to see the hateful comments received by her daughter. Jammi was reported to have experienced even more serious depression after her mother's death.

In addition to PPKKa, another streamer, BJ Gamst, also received attention from netizens. Gamst is a popular BJ (broadcast jockey) known for his comments on soccer matches and game content on the Afreeca TV platform.

Gamst made sexual comments about Jammi when broadcasting together with NJ and Ozil, Namsoon, in 2019. At that time, Ozil asked Namsoon, 'Did you (sorry) masturbate after watching Jammi's broadcast?' Namsoon immediately answered, of course.
