Previously, SBS released a statement regarding the incident that happened to Wendy. They stated that they were conducting an internal investigation regarding the accident. They revealed that they are still investigating the cause of the incident.

According to Dispatch's report some time ago, Wendy fell from a stage height of 2.5 meters while rehearsing for her special performance in the year-end event. She fell because the stairs that were supposed to be used to descend from her standing place were not properly installed.

In addition, the report also revealed that the hallway where Wendy was standing at that time was very narrow and dark. The staff working at that time also did not give any signals or warnings to the beautiful idol. So Wendy fell without any protection.

After experiencing the accident, Wendy was taken to the hospital for first aid. It was known that she suffered injuries to her hip, hand, and cheek due to the incident. Wendy also had to be absent from the group's promotional activities for their latest album.
