In an interview with Wikitree on the day of her debut song release, Hayeon was asked if she felt overwhelmed being the younger sister of a top celebrity like Taeyeon from Girls Generation. It can't be denied that Taeyeon's popularity has somewhat influenced her.

"Often times I feel overwhelmed because I can't surpass what my sister has achieved through her hard work," said Hayeon, as quoted from Allkpop.

When asked if Taeyeon, who has been in the music industry for over a decade, gives her any advice, Hayeon answered that she didn't receive any guidance from her sister. However, Taeyeon is always there for her younger sister who is now following in her footsteps, and Hayeon is very grateful for that.

"No, there's no advice, but she always watches over me. If I don't know something, she always tells me. I feel very supported and happy," she said.

3. Coincidentally

Coincidentally, Hayeon and Taeyeon debuted on the same date. Taeyeon released her first solo album on October 7, 2015, eight years after her debut with Girls Generation. Five years after Taeyeon's solo debut, Hayeon released her debut song titled Eyes on You.

Hayeon revealed that it was unintentional. Hayeon stated, "The music video that was released was actually a re-recording. So the release date of my song was delayed. And surprisingly, I released the song on the same day as my sister released her solo album. I was also very surprised," she concluded.
