Angel Hearted, Han Ji Min Donates 592 Million Rupiah for Jjokbang Village and Elderly Living Alone

Kapanlagi.com - Actress Han Ji Min donated 50 million won or approximately 592 million rupiah to the residents of Jjokbang Village and elderly people living alone. This donation is intended to help them survive during the winter season.

Jjokbang is a term used to refer to a group of poor and slum housing in South Korea. The residents living in this area are those who cannot afford to pay a deposit to rent a private apartment.

According to Allkpop, this donation was handed over to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association. This news was confirmed by Han Ji Min's agency, BH Entertainment, on Monday (11/12/2023).

"Han Ji-min decided to provide support, hoping to help the elderly a little as the weather gets colder," wrote BH Entertainment.

Han Ji Min is known to be a member of the honorary club of the Hope Bridge Association, a private club that makes donations in large amounts.

This is not the first time Han Ji Min has made a donation. At the end of 2022, the actress who starred in BEHIND YOUR TOUCH and OUR BLUES also made a donation of 50 million won to the Hope Bridge Association. The donation was intended to help cover heating costs for the elderly living alone.

The President of the Hope Bridge Association, Song Pil Ho, expressed that Han Ji Min's actions will be a good example for the community this winter.

"In a situation where cold waves are expected to occur this winter, actress Han Ji Min's donation will be a good example for the community, especially when safety and care are needed for vulnerable communities," he said.

Not only to Hope Bridge, Han Ji Min also donated 50 million won to the United Nations International Aid Organization, Join Together Soon (JTS), in early November 2023. Another donation of the same amount was also given in August 2022 to facilities for people with disabilities.

In addition to donations, Han Ji Min also participated in voluntary activities of coal briquette distribution to households during the December 2022 winter season.
