As the First Member to Debut Solo, Wendy Reveals the Support from Red Velvet

Kapanlagi.com - Wendy Red Velvet releases her first solo album today (5/4/2021). This solo album is titled LIKE WATER.

In a press conference hosted by Joy Red Velvet, Wendy shared her experience as the first member to debut solo. She admitted to feeling nervous and slightly anxious. However, she overcame all of that when she received support from the staff and members of Red Velvet.

1. Feeling Pressured at One Point

Wendy admitted that she felt nervous and pressured at one point. However, it reminded her of the Red Velvet members.

"Wow... I'm very nervous right now and slightly anxious! But as the first solo from our group, of course, I can't wait, but at the same time, I feel a little pressure thinking 'Can I do this well?'. I have to work on a solo project by myself, and this always reminds me of the members, Red Velvet," she wrote.

"But the staff supported me by accompanying me to create an extraordinary working atmosphere during the preparations, making this album truly come to life. I really put all my abilities into it so that my vocal color can truly be heard. I hope you like it," she continued.

2. Red Velvet Support

Meanwhile, Wendy also revealed the support of the members, "Like JOY who is now here with me, all the members truly support me throughout the album preparation process. They always send me messages and give feedback on the demos, whatever they hear, and so on. They even came to the MV shooting location and brought lots of snacks and continued to support me in other ways. I am truly grateful to our members!"
