Awesome, Indonesian ARMY Plants Thousands of Mangrove Trees to Celebrate Jimin BTS' Birthday

Kapanlagi.com - Jimin will celebrate his 26th birthday (based on Korean calculation) soon, specifically on October 13th. Like fans in other countries, Indonesian ARMY also organized a special project to celebrate it.

On September 25th, one of the Indonesian ARMY named Asabell Audida (@asabelliaa) posted a fundraising project titled 1000+ Trees for Park Jimin on the website lindungihutan.com. This project aims to collect funds that will be used for planting and maintaining mangrove trees in Bedono Village, Demak Regency, Central Java.

The mangrove tree planting project dedicated to the BTS personnel is expected to bring benefits to the local community as well. According to the organizers of this project, two hamlets in Bedono Village have been submerged due to abrasion that has occurred over the past 20 years, forcing more than 250 families to be relocated from the village.

As the Chinese proverb goes, 'The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is now,' this project is expected to help restore the coastal area of Bedono.

This campaign took place from September 25th to October 5th. With the participation of BTS fans in Indonesia who can donate starting from Rp 10,000, a total of 8,735 mangrove trees were collected. This number far exceeds the project target, making this birthday project a great success.

2. Inspiring Figure

In addition, this fundraising project is believed to be inspired by continuous donations, good deeds, and their idol Jimin's love for the environment. It was previously reported that Jimin made donations to students in need.

In August 2020, Jimin donated 100 million won (approximately Rp 1.27 billion) to students in South Jeolla Province. On February 9, 2020, this idol born in 1995 replaced the desks of 1,200 students at Busan Arts High School. He also donated 100 million won to the Busan Metropolitan Education Office in April 2019.

BTS members have been praised for their good deeds and donations during their recent appearance at Music Camp Bae Chul Soo. Jimin humbly responded, "We should give as much as we receive."
