When asked about their feelings regarding their debut as the first sub-unit of Red Velvet, both Irene and Seulgi felt nervous yet excited.

"Honestly, I am very happy but also nervous thinking about how people, especially fans, will respond to something new like this," Irene expressed.

The leader of Red Velvet also added that they have worked hard to prepare for this sub-unit debut.

"We have worked hard to prepare everything, and we hope that many fans will like it," Irene added.

In line with Irene, Seulgi also revealed that it is not easy to go through all of this, but she is confident in presenting it to the ReVeluv.

"Being the first sub-unit of Red Velvet gives us a unique pressure, but Irene and I have a strong chemistry, so I feel confident with this sub-unit debut," Seulgi said.

2. Talk about 'Monster' and Mirror Dance

In the same occasion, Irene and Seulgi didn't forget to talk about the debut single from Red Velvet's sub-unit, which is Monster.

"The first impression when I listened to 'Monster' was very different and powerful," said Irene.

Seulgi then added that Monster will be epic with their performance.

"The song will be more unique when performed on stage, there will be a spider-like choreography. But, what's also awaited is the mirror dance that we will perform specially for the song," added Seulgi.

3. Idea behind Red Velvet's First Sub-Unit

Not to be missed, Irene and Seulgi also revealed the initial idea behind the formation of Red Velvet's sub-unit.

"We thought about many things, not just recording, choreography, or music videos, but when we were in the dorm together, we also had fun exchanging ideas and practicing singing together. From there, the idea came up, why don't we just make a sub-unit?" said Irene.

Meanwhile, Seulgi explained that they have been living together for a long time, already know each other's characters, so the chemistry that was built was strong enough.

"Besides with the other members of Red Velvet, the two of us often spend time together. We may be different, but we can understand each other. Well, those sweet differences are what we want to show as something new to the fans," concluded Seulgi.
