Called Famous and Successful Because Comes from a Wealthy Family, Here's Dita Karang Secret Number's Answer

Kapanlagi.com - Dita Karang, a beautiful girl from Indonesia who has just debuted with the Korean girl group Secret Number, is currently being talked about. In Indonesia itself, it seems that many consider Dita's success as a K-Pop idol because of her parents' help. 

There are rumors on social media that Dita's success in breaking into the Korean market is due to her wealthy parents. Responding to these accusations, Dita said that it is completely untrue, and the reality is different. 

1. Scholarship at AMDA

During a recent live Instagram session with Dian Sastro, Dita Karang expressed her desire to become a performer. Especially since she has been honing her dancing skills since she was young. 

Wanting to further develop her abilities, Dita asked her parents for permission to study musical theater at AMDA (American Musical and Dramatic Academy) in New York. She was initially rejected, but eventually received permission after being awarded a scholarship from AMDA. 

"I never felt that way. I felt it throughout my studies, and I knew this wasn't a normal path, so before I left, I had to talk to my parents. I had to discuss my future. I received a scholarship, although not a full one," Dita Karang shared. 

2. Experiencing Many Failures in New York

While attending AMDA, Dita, who was majoring in dance, tried several Broadway auditions. Unfortunately, she failed in multiple auditions. 

Not giving up, and feeling interested in K-Pop, she eventually participated in auditions held by the Big Three Companies (SM, JYP, YG) in America. However, she still didn't succeed.

3. Finally to Korea

Failed to pass in three major Korean companies, Dita tried auditioning at a small company, the agency that currently supports her, Vine Entertainment. However, they were only interested but never gave any news.

Impatient, Dita finally flew to Korea by participating in the One Millions Dance competition and auditioning again at Vine Entertainment. Eventually, she could debut with Secret Number on May 19, 2020, with the song "Who Dis."

"This Vine person said they were interested, but after that, there was no news. But they are interested, so from New York, I returned to Indonesia and told my parents that I would join One Million Dance in Korea. At the same time, I auditioned again at Vine," she explained.
