"The events experienced by Yi Kyung and her emotional response, there is fear within me. Will I be able to handle that emotional depth? But thanks to director Lee Eung Bok. I rely on him, lean on him, and communicate a lot on how to portray it," said Lee Si Young, during the press conference for the second season of SWEET HOME some time ago.
Still about her gratitude towards Director Lee, Lee Si Young revealed that the director often asks the cast members on the shooting location about their opinions on a scene. He also asks Lee Si Young to write down any ideas she has during the preparation process.
"And I really did it. I have a memo and write down any thoughts that come up as a mother, and send them to Director Lee, even the silliest ones, and the director incorporates them into the character," said Lee Si Young.
As a mother, Lee Si Young understands Yi Kyung's feelings when she is pregnant. As a pregnant woman, she believes that Yi Kyung's character must be worried about whether her child will be okay.
"And for Yi Kyung, she has a fear of whether her child will become a human or a monster. According to Yi Kyung, monsters change or humans turn into monsters based on their desires. Since it is still a fetus, it doesn't have any specific desires or stories behind it. If her baby becomes a monster, it means it's because of the mother, right?" said Lee Si Young conveying Yi Kyung's fear.
