Chen Departs for Military Service Accompanied by EXO Members According to Tradition, Suho Also Joins

Kapanlagi.com - Chen EXO announced his departure for military service a day after releasing a digital single titled Hello. On Monday (26/10/2020), Chen officially began his military service. The man whose real name is Kim Jongdae will become an active soldier after undergoing basic military training.

As previously announced by SM, the exact location and time of Chen's enlistment will be kept secret. Chen becomes the fourth EXO member to fulfill his military duty after Xiumin, D.O., and Suho.

Chen was not alone when he left. As a tradition, EXO members always accompany their members who are enlisting for military service. They will take a photo together while holding the shaved head of the member who is about to enlist and upload it for their fans. That's what happened when Chen enlisted.

Chen was accompanied by Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, and Sehun. Suho, coincidentally, has his public service duty, so he could accompany Chen and might also be on leave. Meanwhile, Kai couldn't join, most likely because he had a schedule. Xiumin and D.O. are still fulfilling their military duties, and Lay is currently active in China.
