Drama 'A SHOP FOR KILLERS' Finally Airs, Director Lee Kwon Reveals This Fact

Kapanlagi.com - The latest intense Korean action series A SHOP FOR KILLERS has exclusively premiered on Disney+ Hotstar. Starring favorite actors and actresses Lee Dong Wook and Kim Hye Jun, this eight-episode series tells the story of a college student named Jeong Jian who struggles to protect herself from a group of assassins who are targeting her, a few hours after bidding her uncle farewell.

Adapted from the popular original novel by Kang Jiyoung, A SHOP FOR KILLERS is set in modern Korea where Jian is determined to uncover the truth behind the mysterious death of her uncle Jeong Jinman. She decides to return to her childhood home, but as she begins to uncover hidden information, a series of highly skilled assassins and killer drones start attacking her house.

Jian starts to remember the valuable lessons taught by her uncle, and she uses them to survive. Feeling confused and cornered, Jian must quickly figure out the reasons why so many people are desperately trying to gain access to the house and the hidden arsenal within.

Featuring a plot full of action and shifting between the past and present, director A SHOP FOR KILLERS, Lee Kwon, reveals the facts behind the production process. In a recently held virtual presscon event, he admitted to working on this project with great caution.

"When working on this series, I was careful in arranging the story so as not to change the original storyline. In the end, I chose a show-and-tell approach by gradually presenting pieces of the past that will provide explanations to the audience. In action scenes, I also made sure that all movements are visible on camera, so I feel that full shot captures the impressive action atmosphere."

Starring Lee Dong Wook (GUARDIAN: THE LONELY AND GREAT GOD, TALE OF THE NINE TAILED) as Jinman, Jian's mysterious uncle; and Kim Hye Jun (CONNECT, KINGDOM) as Jian, a student who is on the run from the deadliest killers on this planet, A SHOP FOR KILLERS is written by Ji Hojin and Lee Kwon, and directed by Lee Kwon (DOOR LOCK, SAVE ME 2).
