Lee Joon will play the role of Lee Tae, an ambitious man who wants to strengthen his authority and eliminate his enemies.
Lee Tae himself is of noble descent, and will later become the King of Joseon who prioritizes the welfare of the people.
As Lee Tae, Lee Joon will be paired with Kang Han Na as a lover with an exciting love journey.
Jang Hyuk plays Park Gye Won, an antagonist character in this drama. He joins the anti-government movement of the kingdom.
Because of his unruly behavior, Park Gye Won will be in conflict with Lee Tae, who has power in the region.
Nevertheless, he is a figure who is obeyed and feared by everyone. Park Gye Won is also capable of making weighty policies such as the selection of a king.
Kang Han Na will play as Yoo Jung, a beautiful woman who makes Lee Tae fall in love and wants him to become the crown princess.
However, their love journey is not easy, if she becomes the crown princess, there will be a lot of chaos happening to Lee Tae's family.
Kang Han Na herself was not recruited together with Lee Jung and Jang Hyuk. She was confirmed to join on October 19, 2021.
