With a total of 12 episodes, 'THE WORST OF EVIL' presents a crime thriller series set in 1990s Seoul about a police officer who must infiltrate a dangerous new gang to investigate the spread of a new and popular illegal drug called 'GANGNAM CRYSTAL'.

This series is starred by favorite actors and actresses among fans, namely Ji Changwook, Wi Hajun, and Lim Semi. Filled with complex action scenes and adrenaline-pumping moments, here are various interesting facts revealed by Han Dongwook, Director of 'THE WORST OF EVIL', and Kwon Jihoon, Action Coordinator of “The Worst of Evil”.

Behind the success of this drama, there are unique facts about the process and filming of this drama. Curious?

1. Ji Chang Wook Plays a Big Role in the Action Scenes

In this series, Director Han Dongwook showcases action scenes in almost every episode. He revealed that to achieve the most natural scenes possible, he had many discussions with Ji Changwook (Park Junmo) during the pre-production stage to convey expressions in unexpected ways.

The character Junmo is portrayed as ruthless in fights to demonstrate the mental pressure he experiences as an undercover police officer. "We discussed making the fight scenes look as realistic as possible, which is why people bite or hit each other uncontrollably, like in a real fight," the director explained.

2. Full of Challenging Scenes

One of the most complex scenes in the series "The Worst of Evil" is when Junmo tries to infiltrate the gang led by Gicheul. "When Junmo realizes he is being tested, he has to act tough and fight. I spent a lot of time discussing this scene with Han Dongwook.

To create a good action scene, not everything can look cool, but not everything can look 'messy' either. We focused on finding the right balance between technical aspects and natural action," said Kwon Jihoon, the Action Coordinator of "The Worst of Evil."

3. Having a Strong Chemistry

During the filming process of 'The Worst of Evil', the closeness that was built was not only between Han Dongwook and Ji Changwook; but also among all the actors and crew involved.

'There are many actors and crew involved in this series. I think the chemistry that is created among them is amazing. Thanks to this chemistry, I only need to give them guidance, and they do the rest,' said Jihoon.

4. Having a Title Card for Each Episode

One unique thing about the series 'The Worst of Evil' is its different title card in each episode. 'Instead of having repeated title sequences in every episode, we discussed using the 12 episodes to create a format similar to a calendar. Then, we developed this idea by showcasing the main character of each episode trapped in a terrifying situation,' said Han Dongwook.
