Former KARA Member Kang Ji Young Involved in Car Accident, New Drama Shooting Postponed

Kapanlagi.com - Former girl group member Kang Ji Young is currently undergoing treatment after a car accident caused by a drunk driver. On April 3, 2020, Kang Ji Young's agency KeyEast confirmed reports that the idol-turned-actress was involved in a car accident earlier in the week.

A representative from the agency stated, "On April 1, Kang Ji Young was involved in a car accident while returning home after filming for the latest SBS drama LATE NIGHT SNACK MAN AND WOMAN. Currently, she is undergoing medical treatment."

The representative added, "The driver responsible for the car accident was intoxicated. (Kang Ji Young) suffered minor injuries and is currently focused on receiving treatment and recovery."

Currently, Kang Ji Young has temporarily stopped filming LATE NIGHT SNACK MAN AND WOMAN. The former member of KARA plans to resume filming after recovering from her injuries.

The new drama LATE NIGHT SNACK MAN AND WOMAN tells the story of a man named Park Jin Sung who lies to make money. His efforts backfire and hurt the woman he loves, as well as the man who loves him, because of the same lies.

In addition to Kang Ji Young, this drama airing on SBS also stars Jung Il Woo. In this romantic comedy genre drama, Kang Ji Young will portray a producer named Kim Ah Jin who becomes involved with Park Jin Sung.
