From Kep1er to WJSN, Here's a List of K-Pop Artists Joining the Survival Show 'Queendom 2'

A while back, Mnet announced a lineup of K-Pop artists who will be joining a survival show titled Queendom 2. Previously, the show was successful with its first season, Queendom, in 2019.

Queendom itself is a survival program produced by the South Korean TV station, Mnet, which aired on March 31, 2022. The show has a concept of placing 6 K-Pop artists who are making a comeback or releasing a new song on the same day and time, then they will compete on the music charts.

Consisting of five girl groups and one soloist, here are the K-Pop artists joining the Queendom 2 survival show. Curious who they are? Let's check them out below.

1. Kep1er

Girl group from the survival show Girls Planet 999 has joined the lineup of K-Pop artists participating in Queendom 2. The group consists of Kim Chaehyun, Huening Bahiyyih, Choi Yujin, Kim Dayeon, Seo Youngeun, Kang Yeseo, Ezaki Hikaru, Sakamoto Mashiro, and Shen Xiaoting.

They officially debuted on December 3, 2021, and Kep1er succeeded with their mini album titled First Impact. They managed to reach 1 million viewers in just 2 hours after their music video was uploaded to YouTube and sold more than 200,000 albums.

2. LOONA

Girl group consisting of twelve members also joined the lineup of K-Pop artists participating in the survival show Queendom 2. Although they officially debuted on August 19, 2018, they introduced their members since 2016.

Before their official debut, LOONA members were introduced by forming three sub-units, namely LOONA 1/3, ODD EYE CIRCLE, and yyxy. LOONA is a girl group with many achievements on international music charts, even having the title of Global Trend-Setter Girl Group.

3. Brave Girls

Brave Girls is one of the girl groups that shone in 2021. They became the public's spotlight after a compilation video of them singing the song titled Rollin went viral.

However, who would have thought that this group, which has been working for 11 years, was once threatened with disbandment. Fortunately, thanks to the viral song Rollin, many fans are now eagerly awaiting Brave Girls' other works.

4. VIVIZ

The new girl group, whose three members are former members of GFRIEND, has joined the ranks of K-Pop artists who participated in Queendom 2. The three members are SinB, Eunha, and Umji, who announced the name of their new group, VIVIZ, on October 8, 2021.

The name VIVIZ itself means bright days. VIVIZ in Korean pronunciation is 'Bibiji' and is also an acronym for each member's name: Eun'bi', Sin'B', and Um'ji'.

5. WJSN

WJSN or "Woo Joo So Nyeo" is a girl group consisting of twelve members. They debuted in February 2016 and are under the management of two agencies, Starship Entertainment and Yuehua Entertainment.

This group, also known as Cosmic Girls, is from South Korea and China. With their mini album titled "Would You Like?" which includes the songs "MoMoMo" and "Catch Me", they have successfully caught the public's attention.

6. Hyolyn SISTAR

Being the only solo participant to join did not dampen Hyolyn's spirit to win this survival show. This former member of the girl group Sistar is a multi-talented soloist.

Having outstanding vocal abilities and charismatic dance skills are proof that she is a top artist.
