Full of Philosophy, Here's the Reason Why Kai EXO Chose His First Solo Album Titled 'KAI'

Kapanlagi.com - Monday (30/11) became the most anticipated day for EXO-L. After this morning, Kai EXO's solo single Mmmh was released, this afternoon SM Entertainment will also release Kai's first solo mini album.

Starting his career as a solo singer, there is actually a special reason why Kai EXO chose the title KAI for his first album. This was conveyed directly by him in a press conference hosted by his fellow group member, Baekhyun EXO.

"Why did you choose KAI as the title of this album?" Baekhyun asked in the press conference held this morning, Monday (30/11).

1. Reason Behind the Title 'KAI'

Very philosophical, Kai EXO tries to explain that the reason behind the title is the meaning behind his name. According to him, the title KAI is really suitable for his first solo album.

"This is the beginning of my career as a solo singer. And 'KAI' means 'to open'. And I think it would be great to name it after my own name and to be more open to fans or listeners who may not know EXO or me. I feel it's impactful," Kai EXO answered.

2. Kai's Desire

Not stopping there, Baekhyun EXO asked again, "This is your first solo album after eight years of debut. What do you want to show as KAI in this solo album?"

"I want to show everyone, this is me, this is KAI. I want to be closer to many people and be more open as an artist. Of course, I want to show myself as an artist, but also as someone that others can relate to," he concluded.
