GOT7's Kimbab Steak Recipe, Easy to Make at Home and Perfect for Lunchboxes

A few years ago, GOT7 went viral as a guest on the Piki Pictures segment After Mom is Asleep. In the show, Jackson and his friends made kimbab together in a soft voice so that 'mom' wouldn't wake up and punish them.

The kimbab steak cooked by GOT7 was also re-cooked by the Youtube channel Idol Kitchen. For those of you who want to cook it too, let's check out the recipe and how to make it!

First, of course, prepare the ingredients. You need seaweed, rice, fish cake or odeng, chopped onions, thinly sliced carrots, and spinach.

<nil>

For other kimbab fillings, you can use pickled yellow radish (can be replaced with cucumber pickles or just cucumber), meat, sesame oil, chopped garlic, salt, pepper, soy sauce, and rice vinegar (can be skipped to make it halal).

<nil>

Heat a little oil in a pan. This is for sautéing some of the ingredients.

<nil>

Sauté the onions and carrots until they become soft. Actually, you can also eat them raw. After finishing, set aside.

<nil>

The same goes for spinach. You can sauté it briefly or eat it raw directly, it's up to you. After finishing, set it aside too.

<nil>

Next, sauté the garlic until fragrant. Then add the meat until it turns brown.

<nil>

Pour a little sesame oil to enhance the delicious aroma of the meat.

<nil>

Don't forget to season the meat with pepper and salt to taste. Once it's cooked, it can be set aside.

<nil>

Season the rice with sesame oil, salt, pepper, and rice vinegar. The last one can be skipped or replaced with oyster sauce.

By the way, this vlogger is using a kimbap mold. If you don't have one, you can just arrange everything on top of the seaweed. First the rice, then all the fillings like pickles, meat, spinach, and onions.

<nil>

Roll the seaweed that already contains rice and other ingredients until it forms perfectly.

Next, cut it and ready to be enjoyed. Easy, right?
