Hanni NewJeans' Brave Confession, Reveals Bullying at HYBE and Uncomfortable Atmosphere Behind the Scenes

On Tuesday (15/10/2024), Hanni NewJeans attended an audit as a witness in her earlier confession regarding bullying at the HYBE agency, where she is signed. During this opportunity, Hanni shared her personal experiences related to bullying in the workplace, which she has faced since the beginning of her debut.

Here are some statements from Hanni when attending the audit at the Assembly Hall!

"I feel my fans already know how I feel, so I don't need to say anything," said Hanni calmly when asked by the media upon her arrival at the Assembly Hall.

Nonetheless, she chose to speak up because she felt this was an issue that needed to be addressed for a better future for trainees and other artists.

Hanni revealed that an incident involving another artist's manager at HYBE made her feel cornered. "I don't understand why something like this could happen, especially in a work environment that is supposed to be professional. This isn't just once or twice."

"If I keep silent, this will continue to happen and nothing will change. I hope that with this step, trainees, seniors, juniors, or anyone working here will not experience similar things," Hanni continued.

This experience is not the only thing that made Hanni feel uncomfortable. Since her debut, she has felt a lack of harmony in her workplace.

"At the beginning of my debut, I greeted some superiors, but they never responded to that greeting. In Korea, we are taught to respect our elders, and not responding to a greeting is considered impolite."

Even more surprising, Hanni also revealed that she saw some employees badmouthing her group on the Blind app, an anonymous platform for employees.

"I even saw the director of the public relations team trying to lower our debut score in Japan. After seeing that, I realized this wasn't just my feeling. Clearly, something is wrong."
