The MAMA 2022 event was originally planned to be attended by a total of 22 Korean artists, then Mnet has just announced that J-Hope BTS will be the 23rd artist to attend the event. Mnet has not yet announced on which day J-Hope will perform. 

There are already several special stages prepared by Mnet. One special stage is prepared for five rookie girl groups IVE, Kep1er, NMIXX, NewJeans, and LE SSERAFIM. With a total of 32 girl group members on one stage, this will be a collaboration that will never be seen at any other award show.

Here is the line up for the first and second day of MAMA 2022:

Day 1, November 29: Stray Kids, TXT, JO1, Kep1er, HYOLYN, BIBI, Forestella, NMIXX, LE SSERAFIM, Street Man Fighter, KARA, DKZ

Day 2, November 30: TREASURE, ENHYPEN, IVE, ITZY, Zico, Lim Young Woong, (G)I-DLE, NiziU, INI, NewJeans

At the MAMA 2022 event, there will be many new collaborations, one of which is a collaboration between 3RACHA Stray Kids (Bang Chan, Changbin, Han), Tiger JK, and Jung Jae Il.

The organizers of the MAMA 2022 event stated that they are striving to be more transparent in terms of judging.

With many new moves, MAMA also changed the design of their trophy, due to the name change of the event from Mnet Asian Music Awards to MAMA.

Usually, MAMA also showcases artists from abroad. However, because this is their first show since rebranding, they decided to focus only on K-Pop.

It will be a special performance, girl group (G)I-DLE will collaborate with Korean rock band Jaurim.

In addition, IVE, Kep1er, NMIXX, NewJeans, and LE SSERAFIM are confirmed to perform in a special stage.

J-Hope will perform solo at MAMA 2022. Mnet has not shared the exact date of J-Hope's performance yet.

Jeon Somi and Park Bo Gum are confirmed to be the MCs of this event. Jeon Somi will be the host on November 29th and Park Bo Gum will be the host on November 30th.
