The latest series starring Hyun Bin, MADE IN KOREA, will air on Disney+ starting December 24, 2025. This series is set in Korea in the 1970s, where Baek Kitae (Hyun Bin), an ambitious KCIA agent, lives a double life. Driven by his thirst for power, Kitae works as an agent during the day and becomes a smuggler at night. Seemingly unstoppable, there is only one thing standing in his way; Jang Geonyoung (Jung Woosung), a tough prosecutor who cannot be bought, bribed, or influenced. With everything at stake, this series will follow the battle of two men determined to bring each other down.

In the process of preparing for his role as Baek Kitae, Hyun Bin admitted that the experience of reading the script for MADE IN KOREA was a very memorable moment.

"I am very impressed by how each episode showcases historical events as a backdrop and develops various stories around it. I really enjoyed reading the script, as each episode feels like a standalone movie," said Hyun Bin.

The series MADE IN KOREA will be its first original series created and aired for the global streaming platform. "This series feels like a fresh challenge for me. I look forward to the moment when the audience sees a new side of me (while playing Baek Kitae) that they have never seen before," he added.

The character Baek Kitae in this series is designed as an intelligent, charming character, yet full of dark ambition. Hyun Bin acknowledges that the character Baek Kitae is a role that is different from any he has played before.

"I always look for something different every time I join a project, whether it's the story or the character I will portray. I am very intrigued by how the character Baek Kitae is very open about his ambitions. This is very different from various characters I have played before," said Hyun Bin.

"By playing Kitae, I can truly let go of the burdens from my previous roles and really have fun with the character. I have enough flexible space to build various elements around the character, and this also helps director Woo Minho on set," revealed Hyun Bin.

Hyun Bin's performance in portraying the character Baek Kitae is also supported by the director and fellow actors involved in the MADE IN KOREA series. He also appreciates the actors involved during the shooting process, where they portrayed their characters with great passion, making the characters feel very alive.
