Kapanlagi.com - Jennie Blackpink announced plans to take a break from her busy schedule after her second solo album is released. In a recent interview, the 30-year-old singer expressed her desire to give herself space after the album promotion and the scheduled music festival series.
"Honestly, last year was really an incredibly busy year for me. I never had time to really sit down, adapt, and enjoy what Ruby has given me," she revealed.
Currently, Jennie is focused on the process of recording new material in Los Angeles. A few weeks after the interview, she performed at several festivals and showcased new songs, including at Lollapalooza Chicago as a headliner on August 1, 2026.

After her second album is released and the festival schedule ends, Jennie wants to spend her days without the hectic schedule of the past few years. She imagines being able to vacation in Europe, visiting various beaches, and enjoying leisure time without being chased by work.
Outside of music, she plans to explore the world of fashion more, host dinners with close friends, and even learn to mix cocktails at home. These personal activities will be part of the break she is preparing.
"I leave a little empty space in my mind to see if there are other things I want to achieve," Jennie said.
"The uncertainty feels very special. It gives me space to think. I see it as an incredible opportunity. However, for now, I want to enjoy every minute and every second that I live," she added.
Jennie is currently busy with the process of recording new music in Los Angeles. The studio activities are running parallel to the preparations for the release of her second solo album and her commitment to perform at several music festivals.
On stage, she is testing fresh material by performing "Less than a Lover", "Lock It Down", and "Heaven". This series of songs was introduced to the public through her festival performances.
In one of the events, Lollapalooza Chicago has placed her as the main performer on Saturday night. Alongside that, other festival series are still on her calendar until the promotion of the new album is complete.
As the album release approaches, Jennie emphasizes that she now enjoys the creative process more than chasing a perfect standard. She mentions having greater control over the collaborators and the working atmosphere in the studio.
"Now I have greater control over who is in the studio and who I work with," said Jennie.
"However, I am really not in a phase of wanting to make everything perfect. In fact, I am heading in the opposite direction. Maybe the results sound less good and imperfect, but I just want to enjoy the process, not take it too seriously, and be myself. Right now, I am not someone who thinks, 'everything has to be perfect'. I just want to maintain positive energy," she concluded.
Before entering a hiatus, Jennie will complete her second solo album and fulfill a series of scheduled performances at music festivals.
