Jennie Reveals First Impression of Other BLACKPINK Members, Describes Lisa as Robot

Kapanlagi.com - Even though it has been four years since BLACKPINK's debut, Jennie still remembers her pre-debut story with the other three members as if it happened yesterday. In an interview with ELLE magazine, Jennie revealed what each member of BLACKPINK was like when they first joined YG Entertainment.

As known, Jennie was the first member of BLACKPINK to join YG Entertainment. After returning to South Korea from New Zealand at the age of 14, Jennie auditioned with the song Take a Bow popularized by Rihanna. She officially became a trainee at YG Entertainment in 2010.

1. Lisa

The next member is Lisa who successfully impressed young Jennie. Lisa also auditioned in 2010 in Thailand. Lisa was the only applicant who successfully passed and became an official trainee in 2011.

In Jennie's eyes, Lisa is a "tall girl with a perfect body". The most surprising thing to Jennie is Lisa's dancing talent and her ability to learn choreography almost instantly like a robot. Lisa herself admitted that she "always sang and danced when she was little".

"She started dancing like a robot. She memorized everything in seconds," Jennie revealed, as reported by Koreaboo.

2. Jisoo

After Lisa, Jisoo appeared, the oldest member of BLACKPINK. Jisoo, who passed the audition at the age of 16, joined YG Entertainment in August 2011.

Although she joined later than most trainees, Jennie revealed that Jisoo always tried not to fall behind. Furthermore, Jennie said that Jisoo's determination always motivated her as a trainee.

"[Jisoo] came, she really wanted to learn everything and catch up with everyone, which also motivated me," she said.

3. Rose

Finally, there is Rose who joined YG Entertainment in 2012. Rose, who was only 15 years old at the time, auditioned for YG Entertainment in 2012 and beat out 700 other participants to secure a trainee position.

Although she was the last to join her group members, Jennie explained that Rose made the members of BLACKPINK learn more deeply about music. On the other hand, Rose explained that Jennie helped her adjust to the cultural differences between Australia and South Korea.

"[Rose] gave us meaning about what real music is," said Jennie.

4. Quickly Familiar

Unlike other trainees who usually compete fiercely, Jennie revealed that the members of BLACKPINK have loved each other since they first met. They lived together long before their debut, getting closer to each other every night by ordering food, sharing stories about scary teachers, and sharing difficulties during training together.

"Like school kids who become friends, we are also close. It's easy, we don't even have to work hard," she concluded.
