Kapanlagi.com - Korea Indonesia Film Festival (KIFF) 2021 will be held again this year. 14 Korean films will be screened at CGV Grand Indonesia Jakarta and CGV Paris Van Java Bandung from October 27th to 31st, 2021.
The 14 films are HOSTAGE: MISSING CELEBRITY, SINKHOLE, PAWN, SAMJIN COMPANY ENGLISH CLASS, AN OLD LADY, RECALLED, THE BOX, DOUBLE PATTY, SEOBOK, VETERAN, THE WAILING, BATTLE OF JANGSARI, ESCAPE FROM MOGADISHU, and SALUT D'AMOUR. There are also two Indonesian films screening, MEKAH I'M COMING and ASIH 2.
The Director of the Korean Cultural Center, Kim Yong Woon, hopes that KIFF 2021 can entertain the audience amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
"Hoping that KIFF this year can be a small gift, giving hope to film lovers who are tired because of Covid-19," said Kim Yong Woon during a press conference at CGV Grand Indonesia, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (10/21).

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, KIFF 2021 is also held online through Vidio.com. If you go to the cinema, viewers only need to pay Rp.15,000, while Vidio.com can be accessed for free.
"It is an honor for Vidio to collaborate in the KIFF event. Vidio as an OTT platform always provides the best entertainment that can be easily accessed. With Vidio's involvement in this KIFF event, hopefully, it can provide a new experience to the public. Enjoy watching," said Sundari Mardjuki, Head of Content Partnership at Vidio.
Carrying the theme "Adapting and Moving Forward Together", KIFF 2021 selects films that can give inspiration and positive messages to the audience.
"This time, there are fewer films about love. This time's films provide more insights and positive aspects because the present time is not good, hopefully, it will be better after watching films at KIFF," said Rivki Morais Umagapi, Festival Director of KIFF 2021.
"We can give a new spirit to friends even though many are at home. We want to restore the audience's trust in positive vibes, they can watch through Vidio or come directly to CGV," he concluded.
