Surprising news comes from one of South Korea's famous actors, namely Kim Bum who is rumored to be involved in a collaboration film between the Government of Garut Regency and South Korea titled 'TANAH AIR KEDUA'. It is said that this film will be starred by two famous actors from Korea and Indonesia as the main cast.

Film 'TANAH AIR KEDUA' will tell the story of the struggle of a South Korean youth named Yang Chil Sung who helped the Garut community fight against the colonizers in the 1940s.
Yang Chil Sung, who has become one of the heroes for the people of Garut, has even changed his name to Komarudin and embraced Islam.
Komarudin, who married a woman from Wanaraja, Garut, was forced by the Japanese to engage in colonization. However, he chose to defect and instead defended Indonesia.
Not alone, the skilled Korean youth in warfare and bomb-making defected along with his two friends, Hasegawa and Aoki, who are Japanese citizens.
With his expertise in bomb assembly, Yang Chil Sung became the mastermind behind the bombing of the bridge in Garut to protect the people from the colonizers of his time.
Unfortunately, the fate of Yang Chil Sung, along with Hasegawa and Aoki, ended tragically, as the three of them were sentenced to death by the Dutch in 1945.
All three of them were executed in the Kerkhof field, now known as the Sarana Olahraga (SOR) Merdeka, located in the Tarogong Kidul District, Garut.
Due to their contributions in helping the people of Garut, the remains of Yang Chil Sung, Hasegawa, and Aoki were transferred by the government from TPU Pasir Pohor to the Taman Makam Pahlawan in the Tarogong Kidul District, Garut.
It is said that the film 'TANAH AIR KEDUA' which was made to commemorate the services of Yang Chil Sung is scheduled to start production in October 2023 in Garut and also South Korea.
