Kim Seon Ho to Star in TOUCHING THE VOID Comeback

Kim Seon Ho's agency, SALT Entertainment, shared the news that their artist will return to the theater stage in Touch The Void. After a few months of hiatus following abortion accusations, Kim Seon Ho will take on the lead role in this stage drama.

According to The Korea Times, Kim Seon Ho's agency confirmed that he will play Joe Simpson in the drama. This news certainly makes fans happy.

1. Bringing a True Story to Life

Touching the Void is based on the 1988 book of the same title by author Joe Simpson. The story was also adapted into a film in 2003. In the theater production, Kim Seon Ho will play the role of Joe.

It is a true story about two climbers named Joe Simpson and Simon Yates who climbed Siula Grande mountain in the Andes of Peru. Joe and Simon risked their lives during the climb, as they were caught in a snowstorm that occurred on Siula Grande at the time.

2. Starting in July

Touching the Void will start on July 8, 2022 to September 18, 2022 at Daehak-ro Art One Theater 2 Hall. Ticket sales will open on June 2, 2022.

The work has also been adapted into a film with the same title in 2003.

3. Directed by Kim Dong Yeon

Touching the Void will be directed by Kim Dong Yeon, a famous director in the Korean theater world.

He has produced many works, some of which are Maybe Happy Ending, Gentlemen's Guide, and Along with the Gods. Kim Dong Yeon is even referred to as the 'blue chip Director of Daehak-ro'.
