Krystal Jung Describes Jang Ki Yong as Cold and Silent during Their First Meeting

Kapanlagi.com - There's an interesting episode behind the first meeting of Krystal and Jang Ki Young for the filming of the movie SWEET & SOUR. According to the actress whose real name is Jung Soo Jung, her co-star seemed silent and kept his distance.

"When I first met Ki Yong, he was very quiet and didn't talk much. He kept his distance at first. However, as we got closer, we were able to build good chemistry on set. We laughed a lot together, and this greatly influenced us in building our characters," Krystal said during the recent online press conference for SWEET & SOUR.

1. Difficult Genre

Speaking of Jang Ki Young, who is the male lead character, the actor feels that this romantic comedy genre is quite difficult to portray. Nevertheless, he remains enthusiastic and focused on delivering his character so that it can appear real.

"I don't really play in romantic comedies. I think romantic comedy is a difficult genre. However, when I was shooting SWEET & SOUR, I think it's different because it's very realistic about love. I feel more enthusiastic than worried. I am very enthusiastic about playing a role that is so realistic in the real world. I am more comfortable than worried. I am more focused on delivering the role so that it can look realistic," explained Jang Ki Young.

2. Disliking the Character Jang Hyeok

The character Jang Hyeok indeed makes the audience feel annoyed because of his character in the film. Now, Jang Ki Young, who portrays him, explains that the character he plays immediately changes when there is a problem.

"Jang Hyeok is so honest with his feelings. He is very sweet and kind. Due to the many problems he faces, he becomes a little different. That is his weakness," he said.
