Kwon Mina Former AOA Rejects Police Investigation into Bullying Case She Experienced, Agency Speaks Out

Based on Joongang Ilbo's report on Thursday (13/8/2020), Gangnam Police Station revealed that they have initiated an internal investigation into the alleged bullying received by Mina as a member of AOA. It was reported that the investigation began on August 10 when they received complaints from the girl group's longtime fans.

Because the fans filed complaints, Mina and Woori Actors agency had to be interrogated during the investigation with the detective. The detective in charge of this case spoke with Woori Actors, but not with Mina herself.

1. Agency Speaks Out

The police's call for an investigation was apparently rejected by Woori Actors. The agency revealed that the actress under its management did not wish to pursue this case.

"Mina and our agency have refused to investigate this case. The person (Mina) directly involved does not want the investigation to continue. She is currently in an unstable condition but does not want her case to escalate," said a representative from Woori Actors as quoted by Allkpop.

2. Focus on Healing

As previously reported, Mina apologized for her controversial Instagram post. She also deleted her Instagram account to focus on her mental health treatment.

"Mina deleted her own SNS account to focus on her healing. The agency did not interfere with her account," said the agency.
