Lee Je Hoon concludes his long journey as Kim Do Gi in the mega SBS series Taxi Driver. For five years, he has been the main face of the revenge story of Rainbow Transport, solidifying his position as a popular dark hero icon in Korea, both in terms of popularity and achievement.

After Taxi Driver 3 officially ended with a national rating of 13.3%, Lee Je Hoon shared his feelings in a written interview. He spoke about the emptiness after the farewell, the pressure of handling sensitive issues, and his desire to try new genres after being immersed in intense roles for so long.

Lee Je Hoon admitted that he only truly feels that Taxi Driver has ended now. The routine of watching the Friday - Saturday shows that is now gone makes him feel empty.

"I watched almost every broadcast from the audience's perspective. It hasn't even been ten days since it ended, and only now does it feel real. The loss of the Friday and Saturday shows that I used to watch live feels very empty. I think the production crew and the actors who filmed together also feel the same way," said Lee Je Hoon.

Lee Je Hoon won the SBS Acting Grand Prize twice in 2023 and 2025 for Taxi Driver. This achievement proves the artistic as well as commercial success of the series.

When asked about watching dramas after winning the Daesang for the second time, he emphasized the boundary by saying, "Winning an award doesn't change anything." He added, "Even if I don't win, thanks to the viewers who continue to love this drama until the end, I still watch it enthusiastically like other viewers, curious about the ending."

However, when asked if he had any expectations for the award, he honestly replied, "I don't choose projects with the goal of winning awards. But as the episodes increased and the audience's response grew, even the Rainbow Transport team was invited to the award ceremony, so I can't say that I don't hope at all."

Regarding his break time, he shared, "Watching movies in the cinema is my greatest happiness." Recently, he traveled to New York and walked up to 20,000 steps every day. "I enjoy a journey that allows me to walk, explore, and experience the world."

After a long time immersed in heavy genres, Lee Je Hoon admitted that he misses melodrama and romantic comedies. He wants to explore a lighter emotional side in the future.
