Liked by Lee Soo Man, Turns Out the Song 'Don't Call Me' Wasn't Originally for SHINee

Kapanlagi.com - SHINee has just held a Virtual Press Conference on February 22nd. The presscon was hosted by Yunho TVXQ as the MC.

During the event, SHINee shared their experience connecting with fans. They tried to listen to the voice messages sent by fans.

"We tried but it didn't connect. We listened to the voice messages sent by fans and we received a lot of love and they were very enthusiastic. It's very enjoyable to hear their voices even without meeting. There were fans who were nervous when leaving a message, even though we didn't meet face to face. We could feel their emotions at that time," said Key.

Minho added that actually the song Don't Call Me was not originally intended for SHINee, "This song is a song that is very liked by Producer Lee Soo Man. This song was originally for female singers like BoA. We had to lower the key so that this song could become ours. He really pays attention to every detail and gives very good guidance. We are very grateful that Producer Lee Soo Man took the time to be involved in this album."

"We usually rarely communicate with Producer Lee Soo Man, but during the album making process, he often sends us SMS or calls us, monitoring all our content and appearances. He always comments 'Good good good' after our first performance," Key added.

2. SHINee's Song Genre

When asked if SHINee has a specific genre when making songs, Key said that there is no specific genre that can define SHINee.

Yunho as the MC agreed with that, "Our translation and interpretation of the genre is what makes it like SHINee, like SHINee is SHINee."
