Drama YUMI'S CELL is an adaptation of a webtoon with the same title that tells the story of a office worker named Yumi from the perspective of the brain cells that control every thought, feeling, and action. This drama is scheduled to premiere on TVing and tvN in the second half of 2021. Check out the cast lineup.
YUMI'S CELL depicts the growth and transformation of Yumi as her cells work to awaken the "love cell" that has fallen into a coma after a failed relationship.
The main character Yumi will be played by Kim Go Eun who will live her daily life while showing the process of understanding the cells that represent someone named "prime cell".
Ahn Bo Hyun will play as a game developer Goo Woong. Although not too emotional, he slowly awakens Yumi's "love cell" with his simple and honest personality.
Lee Yoo Bi will play as the adorable Ruby. Although Ruby is very experienced in the love department, she is an energetic and loving person.
Park Ji Hyun will be Goo Woong's beautiful and ambitious friend named Sae Yi. This character, who aspires to become the best game art director, will be Yumi's love rival.
Minho SHINee has been confirmed to make a cameo as Chae Woo Gi, Yumi's friend. Meanwhile, Jinyoung GOT7 is still in talks to play Yoo Babi, Yumi's second boyfriend in the second season.
