MAX CHANGMIN Writes Lyrics for 'Devil' Himself, Advises Not to Give in to the Devil's Whisper

Kapanlagi.com - MAX CHANGMIN released his second mini album DEVIL on Thursday (13/1/2020). Through his comeback, TVXQ's member revealed that he personally wrote the lyrics for two tracks in the album, Devil and Alien.

This is not the first time Changmin has released his own lyrics, as it is known that the idol has written lyrics for his own songs as well as TVXQ's songs. For the title track of his comeback, he was asked to write the lyrics for Devil.

"I have previously written lyrics and because this is the title track of the album, producer YOO YOUNG JIN suggested that I try writing the lyrics. I was really lucky because we were able to process the lyrics I wrote and the result was satisfying and suitable for the vibe of the song," explained Changmin during the press conference guided by his groupmate, Yunho TVXQ, as the MC, on Thursday (13/1/2020).

Admitted by Changmin, he changed the lyrics with a personal message. The original lyrics of the song are about a terrifying devil, but he managed to change it and still bring a dark vibe.

"The original song is about how terrifying the devil is, but I thought this extraordinary energy would also fit with the idea of ​​what if you succeed in not hearing the devil's whispers, and that's the message I want to convey," he explained.

The 2nd mini-album MAX CHANGMIN 'Devil' contains a total of 6 songs with various genres, including the songs 'Devil' and 'Alien' whose lyrics were written by MAX CHANGMIN.

'Devil' is a slow R&B song with groovy drum accompaniment, bass riff, and acapella in the chorus part. The lyrics of this song make listeners feel a strong charisma with a desire to move forward confidently without giving in to the devil's whispers, even in difficult circumstances.
