After China lost to Indonesia and failed to qualify for the World Cup, Pan Yueming immediately updated his Weibo about this.

"There still hasn't been an opportunity for us to participate in the World Cup (even though) there are 48 spots. Let's just play at home. Come on CN," he wrote sarcastically while giving encouragement.

Pan Yueming is a Chinese actor who has been building his career since the mid-1990s. He was born on May 9, 1974, in Xuanwu District, Beijing, and completed his arts education at Beijing Normal University before diving into the acting world. His television debut occurred in 1994 through the epic series Romance of the Three Kingdoms, where he played Sun Xiu, the son of Sun Quan and the third emperor of Eastern Wu.

Entering the 2000s, Pan Yueming ventured into film. His role as Lei Haiyang in the movie A Lingering Face (2000) earned him the Best New Performer award at the Beijing College Student Film Festival, a significant recognition for a newcomer. A year later, he again caught attention with the character Tai Lin in A Love of Blueness (2001), leading to nominations for Best Actor at the Golden Rooster Award and Hundred Flowers Awards, as well as winning the Golden Phoenix Award for Best Male Actor.

In the realm of television, Pan Yueming has been widely praised for his performances in historical series and romantic dramas. In 2002, he appeared in Love Legend of the Tang Dynasty as the son of Prime Minister Fang Xuanling. In the following years, his face graced popular dramas such as Moment in Peking (2005) and Madame White Snake (2005), which solidified his position as one of the versatile actors in China.

After years of consistently building his reputation, 2017 became a new turning point in Pan Yueming's career when he played the twin brothers Guan Hongfeng and Guan Hongyu in the web series Day and Night. This series gained massive popularity on the Youku platform and received acclaim for his dual acting ability. The success continued with his role in the franchise Candle in the Tomb: The Lost Caverns (2020), which further affirmed his maturity as a leading actor.

Until now, Pan Yueming continues to be active on both the big screen and television. He was listed in the Forbes China Celebrity 100 at rank 97 in 2019 and rose to rank 64 in 2020. With a variety of roles from classic historical stories to modern thrillers, he has demonstrated his ability to adapt and create strong characters, making him one of the top actors in the Chinese entertainment industry.
