Portrait of Son Suk Ku as a Detective in 'A KILLER PARADOX', Dubbed by Director as One of the Most Attractive Men in Korea

Son Suk Ku admits that he doesn't know much about the webtoon A KILLER PARADOX because he belongs to the generation that reads comic books. But he heard that this webtoon is legendary and became interested in reading it.

Son Suk Ku then said that he watched the drama STRANGERSS FROM HELL starring some of his friends and he was shocked by the story and curious about who the director was who could make such a unique series. When he found out that A KILLER PARADOX was directed by Lee Chang Hee, who worked on STRANGERS FROM HELL, Son Suk Ku immediately agreed to participate in this drama.

Regarding the character Jang Nan Gam, Son Suk Ku said that he is someone who has a strong desire to conduct investigations based on his instincts. He wants to catch criminals in an unconventional way.

What is interesting about the character Jang Nan Gam for Son Suk Ku is the uncertainty of whether he has good or bad intentions. According to him, that is indeed the concept of A KILLER PARADOX that focuses on his character, including how far Jang Nan Gam will punish crime. Jang Nan Gam can provide uncomfortable tension for the audience.

Here, Jang Nan Gam becomes one of those suspicious of Lee Tang because of his instincts. To show this, Son Suk Ku feels there is a psychological aspect here. According to him, there must be a context as to why Jang Nan Gam conducts investigations based on intuition rather than using factual methods. He had many discussions with the director to bring out his imagination in portraying Jang Nan Gam.

Director Lee met Son Suk Ku for the first time two years ago and was surprised by the similarities between them. They both have the same thoughts about acting, they both like to be straightforward, they have the same language, and they are the same age. He also feels that Son Suk Ku is one of the most attractive men in Korea, but what surprises him is his seriousness about acting.

Son Suk Ku has previously played a detective, but he refuses to comment on the differences in his characters. According to him, both characters are different, as well as the genre, co-stars, costumes, and directing. The only thing that is the same is their profession.

As for his beard in this drama, it is always checked first thing every day. The makeup team works hard on his beard and mustache, and Son Suk Ku praises their skills because he is obsessed with his mustache and beard. It's unbelievable.
