Ready for 4-Month Training in Korea, Indonesian Girl Group StarBe Inspired by BLACKPINK's Music

Kapanlagi.com - Indonesian girl group StarBe has been selected to undergo a four-month training in South Korea through the GROW TWOgether 2023 program. This program is a cultural exchange organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea and coordinated by the International Cultural Exchange Promotion Agency (KOFICE). Previously, this program has also been conducted in Vietnam in 2021 and Thailand in 2022.

"Grow Twogether 2023 is expected to foster the popular cultural industry between Korea and Indonesia through StarBe members who will go to Korea to experience various cultures and music in South Korea," said Kim Minjung, Manager of KOFICE during a press conference in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Monday (31/7).

During four months in Korea, StarBe consisting of Abelle, Shella, Kezia, and Chelsea will undergo vocal and choreography training, create various interesting content, and release a song and music video. Kwan Yong Park, the General Manager of SOON Entertainment, explained that StarBe's song is also inspired by BLACKPINK.

"The song that StarBe will introduce through this project is a unique hip-hop genre with a powerful vibe that brings back the concept of hardcore hip-hop inspired by BLACKPINK, who are not only famous in Indonesia but also worldwide," said Kwan Yong Park.

2. Debut at Asia Song Festival

After that, StarBe as the representative of Indonesia will also debut at the Asia Song Festival on September 8. This is a great opportunity to introduce the name StarBe internationally.

"We started this in June with song and choreography production. When we arrive in Korea on August 2, StarBe will undergo actual vocal and choreography training before making their debut on September 8 at the Asia Song Festival," said Kwan Yong Park.

Abelle as the leader of StarBe hopes that all members can gain valuable experiences during their training in Korea and can bring honor to Indonesia in the international world.
