f(x) who debuted in September 2009 with the song La Cha Ta successfully caught attention with their uniqueness, from the tomboy appearance of Amber to the acrobatics performed by Victoria.

f(x)'s career is on the rise, proven since their single Nu ABO released in 2010 dominated the Gaon music charts. In the same year, Amber took a hiatus due to an ankle injury.

In 2011, f(x) released their debut studio album titled Pinocchio with the single Pinocchio (Danger). This song also topped the Gaon music charts and won 8 times on music programs.
