Save a Chef's Life at a Japanese Restaurant with First Aid, Kim Hyun Joong Flooded with Praise

It was reported that this handsome actor saved the life of a 47-year-old chef who suddenly had a seizure and collapsed while cleaning a restaurant table. The action of SS501 member was captured by CCTV cameras.

The restaurant workers were panicked and screaming for help because they didn't know what to do. Afterwards, a man wearing a black hat came to check the chef's condition upon entering the restaurant.

He then pulled the chef's head back to secure his breathing and unbuttoned the chef's shirt. He also instructed the restaurant workers to call 119 (Korea's emergency telephone number).

The man massaged the chest and abdomen of the chef whose body became stiff to the point where his mouth couldn't be opened while waiting for the ambulance to arrive. He helped the chef regain consciousness for about nine minutes.

The man continuously tried to get the chef to react by talking to him. The ambulance arrived at the restaurant when the chef slowly started breathing again. The man in the black hat immediately helped the ambulance rescue personnel with personal protective equipment (PPE) move the chef into the ambulance and explained the situation.

2. Confirmed Kim Hyun Joong

The restaurant owner then revealed that the man in the black hat who helped in this emergency situation is Kim Hyun Joong and it was confirmed by the agency. The restaurant owner stated that initially, he didn't realize that the man was a celebrity.

According to one of the restaurant staff, Kim Hyun Joong visited the restaurant about two hours earlier. After finishing dinner, Kim Hyun Joong, who was waiting for a taxi outside, came back in after hearing the screams of the restaurant staff.

"All the staff members are young students, so they don't know how to handle such situations, but Mr. Kim Hyun Joong took the lead and successfully saved a precious life. We didn't even have a chance to thank him because we were all so shocked," said the restaurant manager as quoted from Allkpop.

Kim Hyun Joong's swift first aid action was immediately flooded with praise from netizens. "Cool. Not everyone can provide first aid during the COVID-19 pandemic. Brave and noble action," wrote one netizen.
