On Tuesday (16/12/2025), Sooyoung attended a press conference for her latest drama, IDOL I, which also stars Kim Jae Young and will air on ENA starting December 22, 2025.
She also had an interview after the event. In addition to being asked about her drama, Sooyoung was also asked for her opinion on her friend Tiffany's wedding plans with Byun Yohan.
In her statement, Sooyoung emphasized that she feels very happy to hear the news. She mentioned that Tiffany's relationship is something that should be celebrated and deserves full support from those closest to her.
"I am really very happy. This is a joyful thing and something that I can only support," said Sooyoung. She also added that for her, the people closest to her life are none other than the members of SNSD.
Sooyoung emphasized that whatever choices the members make, including in terms of relationships and marriage, are decisions that deserve to be celebrated. According to her, her friend's happiness is the most important thing.
"There are parts where I have to be careful with what I say," she said, indicating respect for Tiffany's privacy and the parties involved.
