Story of the Rich, Cast List of New JTBC Drama 'THE YOUNGEST SON OF A CHAEBOL FAMILY' - Song Joong Ki to Tiffany SNSD!

Kapanlagi.com - THE YOUNGEST SON OF A CHAEBOL FAMILY (temporary title) will begin filming in the second half of this year and will premiere on JTBC in 2022. The serial drama will tell the story of someone who serves a chaebol (conglomerate) family for 10 years but is eventually betrayed. He will be given the opportunity to be reborn as the youngest son of that chaebol family and plan his revenge by taking over all the wealth.

This drama is adapted from a popular web novel with the same title. Directed by Jeong Dae Yun, who has previously led famous dramas SHE WAS PRETTY and WHILE WERE YOU SLEEPING, and written by Kim Tae Hee, who has previously written the dramas A BEAUTIFUL MIND and SUNGKYUNKWAN SCANDAL.

Song Joong Ki will portray two different main characters in this drama. Initially, he will play the role of Yoon Hyun Woo, a secretary who has long served the wealthy Sunyang family, a conglomerate family.

At one point, a case arises that causes Yoon Hyun Woo to become a scapegoat, falsely accused of embezzling funds for 10 years and unjustly murdered by the Sunyang family. He then reincarnates to seek revenge by becoming the youngest son of the Sunyang family named Jin Do Joon. Over time, he strives to seize power and the wealth of the Jin family, which is contested by several of his siblings.

2. Lee Sung Min - Jin Yang Chul

Lee Sung Min confirmed on July 20, 2021, that he will star in this drama alongside Song Joong Ki for the main role. Lee Seung Min will portray Jin Yang Chul, a patriarch who runs the chaebol family's lineage.

He has hidden motives and desires to control the family's wealth himself. Lee Seung Min will also be the main actor in the legal dramas JUVENILE JUSTICE and VETERAN DETECTIVE next year. This drama will mark his comeback after a 2-year hiatus from starring in the drama MONEY GAME.

3. Shin Hyun Bin - Seo Min Young

Shin Hyun Bin will play the role of Seo Min Young. An anti-corruption prosecutor at the Seoul District Prosecutor's Office who has a love-hate relationship with the character Song Joong Ki, Jin Do Joon. She is willing to break the law just to uphold justice.

Shin Hyun Bin made a name for herself after portraying Jang Gyeo Wool in the hit tvN drama HOSPITAL PLAYLIST. She also starred in the second season of the drama alongside Yoo Yeon Seok, Jo Jung Suk, Jeon Mi Do, and others. This rising actress also starred in the JTBC drama REFLECTION OF YOU this year. 4. Jo Han Chul - Jin Don Ki

He will play the role of the second child of the Sunyang family who wants to ascend the throne because he feels capable and deserving. Previously, he appeared in the ongoing drama JIRISAN and the hit TVN drama HOMETOWN CHA CHA CHA as well as VINCENZO as a supporting actor. This drama is the first confirmed drama that he will star in and will be broadcasted in 2022.

5. Kim Nam Hee - Jin Seong Joon
