G-Dragon's contract with YG Entertainment is known to have ended in June 2023. At that time, YG Entertainment shared an update about his contract status, stating that although their exclusive contract with G-Dragon has ended, they will collaborate with him through a separate contract for other activities, such as advertisements and others.

Meanwhile, G-Dragon has just been cleared of drug-related allegations on December 18, 2023. The case has been resolved by the Incheon Metropolitan Police, after the police investigation results stated that G-Dragon is not guilty in the drug-related case.
