Synopsis of Chinese drama THE ROYAL PRINCESS tells the story of Li Rong and Pei Wen Xuan, two individuals trapped in a marriage that was never based on love. At the age of 18, they got married not out of affection, but for political reasons and family strategy. Li Rong, with a background from the Pei Wen Xuan family, sees this marriage as a way to avoid disaster and improve his position.
Meanwhile, Pei Wen Xuan takes advantage of Li Rong's identity as a Princess to build his career and influence. During their 30 years of marriage, this relationship becomes nothing more than a formality. Li Rong falls asleep in a luxurious life and emotionally separated from Pei Wen Xuan, who chooses to stay at home. Between them, nothing is left except competition and desire for power.
However, the turning point comes when their hostility reaches its peak, leading to a murder plan that they each devise. This conflict not only emotionally separates them, but also leads to their deaths. But instead of going to the afterlife, the miracle brings them back to their teenage years, where they return to the year when they were just 18 years old.
Realizing that they have a second chance to fix past mistakes, Pei Wen Xuan decides to find Li Rong.
