The Chronology of Seunghan from Joining RIIZE to Deciding to Leave for the Members and BRIIZE

Seunghan was introduced as a member of RIIZE in August and officially debuted on September 4, 2023. Seunghan was previously introduced as one of the SM Rookies by SM and was rumored to join NCT.

At the end of August, before the debut, photos circulated of Seunghan kissing a girl who was said to be underage and identified as his girlfriend. One of the photos is suspected to be a selfie in a motel.

After the photo circulated, Seunghan apologized because he just spoke up and promised to introspect. SM also made a statement that they would sue those who illegally spread Seunghan's past photos.

On October 9, a photo circulated that allegedly showed Seunghan doing a live broadcast with someone suspected to be his girlfriend.

A post on a forum claiming to be a classmate of Seunghan in high school spoke up. The OP stated that the live broadcast that Seunghan did was not with a girlfriend but just an acquaintance and was done a year before his debut. The OP also stated that Seunghan is a good person and has a great personality.

A video circulated that allegedly shows a conversation between Seunghan and Soobin from TXT. In the conversation, Seunghan mentioned that Soobin can't sing, dance, rap, and was very excited because he became the MC of Music Bank. Seunghan also hinted that Soobin is lucky to meet Eunchae (suspected to be Eunchae from LE SSERAFIM).

On November 17, 2023, a video of Seunghan smoking on the street in X circulated. However, the video was quickly deleted.

The next day, a photo of Seunghan smoking again circulated. There was also a chat allegedly between Seunghan and his friend. In the chat, Seunghan was not worried because no photos of him smoking had circulated yet.

After becoming a topic of conversation in the forum, fans were furious because Seunghan still participated in the video call fansign.

Another photo of Seunghan circulated, allegedly taken in a nightclub, which made fans in Korea even angrier.

A netizen claiming to be a friend of Seunghan made a post on Insta Story. In it, he expressed shock that Seunghan, as a trainee, likes to gossip, drink, smoke, and flirt with female trainees.

Korean fans are preparing to send trucks in front of the SM building to demand the release of Seunghan. One of the messages on the truck says: RIIZE with Seunghan will fall. RIIZE without Seunghan will shine.

Seunghan posted a handwritten apology. He reflected on himself because of his past. He apologized to the fans who have supported him and also to the members of RIIZE.

On November 22, 2023, SM announced that Seunghan will be on hiatus. Seunghan feels responsible and is under mental pressure, so SM agreed that he cannot continue his activities for a while.

International RIIZE fans sent their support via trucks in front of the SM building. One of the trucks said BRIIZE will always be by Seunghan's side.

Japanese fans also did not miss the chance to support Seunghan with a truck in front of the SM building. One of the messages stated that they would wait for Seunghan at Tokyo Dome someday.

During the hiatus, netizens had a chance to meet RIIZE. The photo on the left shows someone meeting Seunghan in the subway. On the right, Seunghan is suspected of taking classes in preparation for university entrance.

On October 11, 2024, Wizard Entertainment (the SM division handling RIIZE) announced that Seunghan would return with RIIZE starting in November.
