tvN has confirmed that the drama JIRISAN will premiere on October 23, 2021. With 16 episodes, JIRISAN tells the story of the adventures of forest rangers and officers in Mount Jiri National Park. Jun Ji Hyun plays the main character, Seo Yi Kang, who is a senior forest ranger and tries to solve the mystery of the missing hikers with her colleagues.

Having extreme locations, top-notch cast, unique story, and famous soundtrack contributors apparently made JIRISAN incur a fantastic cost. To produce this drama, JIRISAN ranks fourth among the most expensive Korean dramas in history, with tvN daring to spend 32 billion won or 386 billion rupiah.
