Thought to be a BTS member, Tao claimed to be a former member of EXO and more popular

Kapanlagi.com - Huang Zitao, also known as Z.Tao or Tao, is now one of the famous singers, TV personalities, and actors in China. For those who don't know, Tao was previously a member of EXO before terminating his contract with SM Entertainment in 2015.

Tao suddenly became a topic of discussion among K-Pop fans on social media after a clip of him on a television show went viral. In the show, Tao was in Iceland and seen chatting with girls.

According to Allkpop, the girls were browsing Tao's Instagram. When they found out, the 26-year-old man asked if they wanted to take a photo with him.

One of the girls asked if he was a member of BTS because he looked similar. His friend then said that it was the ARMY who thought Tao was a member of BTS.

"What did you say? No. I'm not BTS. Do you know EXO? I used to be a member," said Tao, making the girls laugh awkwardly.

2. Request to Cut the Video

After sharing that fact, Tao felt embarrassed and asked the camera to cut that part. As he walked, Tao made a statement that surprised EXO and BTS fans.

"Cut the part that says I look like a member of Bangtan Sonyeondan. They say I look like someone in BTS," Tao said.

The female MC on the show then responded to Tao's statement. "I only know EXO. I don't know Bangtan Sonyeondan."

3. Tao Jokes

Tao then continued his statement. "BTS wasn't even as popular as us (EXO) at that time. Now she's saying I look like BTS. Sorry everyone, I was mistaken for a BTS member. I don't know who else. Who am I? Where am I?" Tao concluded, jokingly.
