Recently, Taiwanese media TVBS caused a sensation by releasing news about a popular actor having an affair with an idol who is 36 years younger. The names Tony Leung (61 years old) and Cheng Xiao (25 years old) former WJSN (Cosmic Girls) were dragged into this rumor. It was also said that they even have a child together. TVBS claimed that Tony Leung is having an affair with Carina Lau, who is his wife. The media also said that the idol and the actor were seen together and they have a child together.
"Tony Leung also bought a villa in Japan for Cheng Xiao and their child outside of marriage. Carina Lau even went to Japan to meet the lover," wrote TVBS.
After this news was released, Cheng Xiao's side immediately denied the baseless rumors that were circulating. The same goes for Tony Leung's agency, which issued a similar statement.
"There is no need to respond to these rumors. The (circulating news) is completely untrue. Please be a happy and optimistic person," said a statement from Tony Leung's agency.

Meanwhile, Cheng Xiao is a former K-Pop idol who debuted in the group WJSN in 2016, but she has been focusing on her solo career in China since 2018. In 2022, Cheng Xiao officially left WJSN.
