Touched by RM's Encouragement, Jang Hansol Shares Unforgettable Experience as MC for BTS

Kapanlagi.com - Jang Hansol has just performed as one of the performers at the KapanLagi Korean Festival (KLKF) 2023 in Surabaya, on Saturday (23/9/2023). While performing on stage, Hansol had a conversation about his life and experiences as a content creator and MC that have allowed him to meet top Korean artists.

Hansol admitted that before becoming known as a content creator, he had met Korean artists several times when he was still a translator for Korean shows filming in Indonesia. He also briefly shared his experience as a translator.

"So before YouTube, I was a translator, so I often met artists, but it was backstage, so no one knew me. After YouTube, I started meeting artists who already knew me. I was really nervous," he said.

1. BTS that Makes the Heart Race

Hansol was asked who is the Korean artist that makes him nervous when he is about to meet them. Without thinking twice, Hansol mentioned BTS, which was warmly welcomed by the Army who came to KLKF Surabaya. The man who used to live in Malang then explained why he gets nervous when he is about to meet RM and others.

"The problem is like this. Let me give you an analogy. Let's say there is a dining table, there are already delicious side dishes, and the main menu is delicious. I am on the side as an appetizer. I'm afraid I will ruin it. At that time, the event was very secretive, during the COVID period," he explained.

2. Preparing to Meet BTS

Before meeting BTS, Hansol made extra preparations. It's not just about preparing as an MC, but also paying attention to his appearance.

"Three days before, I bought new shoes, bought clothes, and then sent them to the event organizers, 'Can I wear this outfit?,'" Hansol recalled.

Despite being prepared, Jang Hansol admitted to feeling extremely nervous before meeting BTS. He shared his experience directly with the people present.

"On the D-day, wow. I sat here alone, there were seven chairs in front of me. They said, 'The artist will enter soon'. My heart was pounding. If I made a mistake, I had to start over, but if they made a mistake, it's okay," said Hansol.

4. Afraid of Not Being Able to See

Not only afraid of saying something wrong in front of BTS, Jang Hansol also explained the condition of his eyes, which were still nearsighted at the time, making him afraid that he couldn't see clearly. This 29-year-old man was made even more nervous because of his eye condition.

"At that time, I hadn't had lasik yet. The show's director asked, 'Can you do it without glasses?', (afraid) it bounced back. Because my prescription was only -0.75 and there was also a 75-inch TV, so I said 'Okay, I'll take them off. When it started, I couldn't see the TV. The questions were in my head, but blurry," Hansol recounted.

5. Encouraged by RM

Although at that time it was a bit panicked because what was on TV was not visible, Jang Hansol was touched because he received encouragement from RM. He shared this story for RM fans and Army.

"This is a little story for RM's fans. There, RM said, 'Mas Hansol, this is your stage. Mas Hansol can definitely do it,'" said Hansol happily.

Fortunately, even though his vision became more blurred at that time, the event with BTS went smoothly. And when it aired, Hansol also thanked the editing team.

Hopefully, Hansol will have another opportunity to be on a show with BTS and other top Korean artists!
