Kapanlagi.com - As we enter the second week of Phantom Lawyer airing on Viu, Yoo Yeon Seok faces a case that immediately grabs attention. In the third episode, a deceased Kpop trainee appears as a spirit before the lawyer he portrays. The death was previously labeled as a suicide.
However, the story conveyed by the spirit makes Yoo Yeon Seok begin to doubt that conclusion. The investigation he conducts opens up the possibility that there is another story behind the death of the aspiring idol.
At the beginning of the latest episode, Yoo Yeon Seok resumes his work as a lawyer who has opened his own law office. The office handles various cases, ranging from criminal cases, civil cases, to legal consultations. However, his life changes after he realizes that he can see spirits.
This ability emerged after he opened his office in an old building that was previously used by a shaman. Since then, a number of spirits have come to him to share stories that they did not have the chance to express while they were alive.

The spirit that comes this time is a Kpop trainee who died in an incident ruled as suicide. Yoo Yeon Seok hears directly the story about the last days before the death occurred.
The information he hears makes him start to question the initial reports that circulated. As a lawyer, he then traces back the background of the victim and the people around them before the incident occurred.
This investigation leads him to the life of the aspiring idol during their training period. Yoo Yeon Seok tries to understand the victim's relationship with the agency environment and the peers who had trained with them. This step becomes part of his efforts to uncover the facts that can explain what really happened before the death.
In the midst of an investigation, Yoo Yeon Seok meets again with the lawyer played by Esom. In Phantom Lawyer, Esom is portrayed as a lawyer from a large law firm with a strong reputation in court. She is known for having a high win rate and works with a very rational approach.
Several cases in this drama put Yoo Yeon Seok and Esom on opposite sides when they meet in the courtroom. Yoo Yeon Seok always defends the victims or those seeking justice, while Esom more often represents the parties facing legal charges. This difference in position leads to several confrontations between them during the trial process. The drama Phantom Lawyer can be watched on Viu, with new episodes airing every Friday and Saturday for viewers in Indonesia.
