Young Jun Tak, CMO of SM Entertainment, Meets with Swedish Deputy Minister for Business and Innovation Stina Billinger

Kapanlagi.com - CMO of SM Entertainment, Young Jun Tak, met with Swedish Deputy Minister for Business and Innovation, Stina Billinger, at SM Entertainment's new office in Seongsu on April 21, 2022 to discuss cultural exchange and music industry cooperation between Korea and Sweden.

This meeting was held at the special request of the Swedish Embassy in South Korea, as Deputy Minister Stina Billinger expressed a strong interest in exporting Korean music and culture. About 10 officials, including the Swedish Ambassador to South Korea, Daniel Wolven, attended the meeting.

1. Many Similarities between SM and Swedish Music

Stina Billinger says, “SM Entertainment and Swedish music have many similarities, so I have always had a great interest in them. Starting from this opportunity, we look forward to continuous exchange from SM Entertainment in the creative industry and Swedish innovation system.” 

2. Often Collaborating with Swedish Composers and Musicians

In response, CMO of SM Entertainment, Young Jun Tak, said, “Starting with S.E.S.'s 'Dreams Come True' released in 1998, SM Entertainment has collaborated with several composers and musicians in North America, including Sweden, and created many hit songs. I hope that active cooperation with Sweden can be realized in the future, not only in the music industry but also in various cultural industries.” 

3. Introducing SM Innovations

In the meeting, CMO Young Jun Tak also introduced SM's business and future innovations, including 'Beyond LIVE,' 'Play2C' created by Executive Producer Soo-man Lee, and NFT·Metaverse·Blockchain business. Ambassador Daniel Wolven and other officials showed their interest with various questions asked.
