The American heavy metal band, Slipknot, successfully rocked the Hammersonic Festival 2023 held at the Carnaval Beach, Ancol North Jakarta, on Sunday (19/3/2023). This was their first performance in Indonesia since their establishment in 1995.

What was their performance like and how was the enthusiasm of the metalheads who came to the venue? Check out the following photos..

Slipknot performed at around 10:30 PM on the Empire stage. As the main headliner, it's no wonder that the venue was so crowded from front to back.

On that occasion, Slipknot performed their new songs, such as Sulfur, Before I Forget, The Dying, Song Dead memories, Unsainted, The, Herectic Anthem, Psyichosocial, Duality, Custer, Spit It Out, People Shit, as a closing Surfacing.

Slipknot's vocalist, Corey Taylor, admitted that he was happy to finally perform with his band in Indonesia. He was repeatedly seen greeting fans in the middle of his extraordinary performance.

"Finally, finally, finally, Slipknot finally performed in Indonesia. Are you happy that Slipknot is in Jakarta? because we are happy here," said vocalist Corey Taylor from the Empire Stage.

Corey Taylor was even very impressed with his fans in Indonesia and referred to them as one of the best audiences he has ever had while performing with Slipknot.

"Oh God, Indonesia. We don't know what to expect but this is one of the best audiences. Thank you so much," Corey said to the cheering crowd.

The amazing stage performances successfully made the sea of metalheads present that night jump and headbang together, like on the song 'Spit It Out'.

One unique gimmick was also presented by the drummer, Jay Wainberg, who wore a large Barong mask on his drum set.

On that occasion, a number of Indonesian musicians and artists were also seen attending Slipknot's concert, such as Deadsquad's vocalist, Burgerkill's drummer, Sandiaga Uno, and many others.

Slipknot closed out the final day of the Hammersonic Festival. In addition to Slipknot, several heavy bands from various countries were also present at the event. Starting from Trivium, Watain, Story of The Year, Black Flag, Vio-lence, Amon Amarth, Tiny Moving Parts, and many more.
