"To survive every night performing at cafes or bars. Perform during homeband breaks. Paid with nasi goreng, as long as we can eat," said the vocalist of D'Masiv band.

Having experienced bitter things during the beginning of their music career, Rian is grateful that D'Masiv is still together and compact at the age of the band, which is now 20 years old.
"Alhamdulillah the five of us are still together until now and God willing, forever," said Rian.
