Singer Avolia, affectionately known as Avo, is once again grabbing attention with her latest single titled Friend Eats Friend. Released on Friday (29/11/2024) under the Indo Semar Records label, this song openly criticizes the phenomenon of 'friends eating friends' that often occurs in everyday life.

Unlike her previous works, Avo revealed that this single was born from her personal experience of being 'eaten' by her own friend.

"Yesterday I created a song about partners, so now I want to release a song to criticize friends who are two-faced or hypocritical, who like to talk behind your back, who borrow money but become aggressive when it's time to pay them back," Avo said in her written statement. Here are the details.

Through "Teman Makan Teman," Avo wants to convey a sharp sarcastic message to those who often behave like that. He believes many people can relate to the lyrics of his song.

"You really have to listen and watch the music video of this song because 'Teman Makan Teman' is truly relatable. I’m sure you have friends who are nice in front but talk about us behind our backs. So it’s better to use this song to make the sarcasm," he continued.

In this song, Avo not only makes sarcastic remarks but also adds an emotional touch with piercing lyrics. This singer is indeed known for often raising themes that resonate with women, including the Woman Support Woman campaign that has become his trademark. "I do like to be sarcastic but through songs. I just enjoy creating songs that have relatable sarcasm because I think it will be impactful. I created this song hoping you all will like it," he added.
